Me dad and Cian Flew into Sydney airport at 6:30 this morning and mum and Niamh should be back later this afternoon!Well this is it!I really cant believe it! So now im unpacking my life! The flight was very plesant (We were on the double-decker plane wich was cool and after a smothe arival i was still in shock! Our last day was spent electronic buying in Singapore! On this trip my dad foud he had a  passion for photography and as a birthday present to himself  he bought a nice proffesional camera, my mum has been nagging for an iphone since christmas and dad finally decided to make all her dreams cone true!Yes my mother is now the proud owner of an iphone! Then a quick stop in Yumcha and then to the airport were Niamh and mum spent a small fortune on face cream, perfume, makeup in duty free to make up for there dreaded 8 hour stop over in Perth (im sure Niamh will inform you of how seriously boring that was!) It really has been an expirence and i feel better off for it, Last night dad and Mum were already talking about the next holiday "Oh, maybe Mexico, the kids haven't been to north America yet!" Exclaimed my over the top mother!Hm........Mexico got a nice ring to it, we'l see, (hehehe concocting my evil plan!)So thankyou for reading its been alot of fun! From the sit down protests in Mylasia and Borneo to the to the secret shopping sprees in Harajuku (Shh) to making dumplings with all the lovley friends we made in Beiging and then on to Hanoi the Hustling bustling city that it is was an inspiring place for someone with a strong character and stomach!Lao the 20 somethings perfect party place and cambodia with its sad history but interesting and beutiful culture back to Vietnam were we enjoyed all the south had to offer from food to history to culture and of course FASHION!Home sweet home at last!In a few days i will return back to school to see all my friends who said theyd read this blog but never got around to it(well at least some of them bothered to check in!)Oh well.....

Deja Vu... 01/17/2010

Well here we are again in the same hostel on the same computer in Singapore! After fare welling Vietnam we took a short and sweet flight to Singapore and as i entered the same door of the hostel that smelled like curry there was a definite felling of  Deja Vu except i feel completely diferent!I feel alot slimmer(I lost a nice amount of weight)Alot smarter and most of all i feel renewed and lucky my adventures have been truely amaizing and as tomorrow i am taking a plane back to my home town, the city i love Sydney were i wrote my first blog post i am now going back to the start to read my first post!Join me!Come on it wont take long!

Well its been quite a while and since my last blog post from a month ago(thats pretty embarresing!)And so much has happend; mum joined us again, we arrived in lao and left 2 weeks later after having an unforgetable christmas day, arriving in cambodia and expiriencing joy and sadness after arriving in ho chi minh for an night and taking a short flight to Hue which is were im writing this very post!Welll theres 11 days of this trip left and im excited, sad, happy, regtful. But as of now im still enjoying my adventure but one thing is for sure the count down has started! So i wasv in bed last night thinking and i realized something funny all the citys were visiting in Vietnam start with H! H-H-H-Hanoi, H-H-H-Ho Chi Minh, H-H-H-Hue, H-H-H-Hoi an!Today we (being me, niamh and Cian) did a vietnamese cooking course and after we made everything we got to eat it and now im as stuffed as a rabbit,("as stuffed as a rabbit?" dad said,"thats not even a saying maeve!")

As i hoped into a taxi at 4:30am after the overnight train from Sa Pa to Hanoi had an early arrival just like the city itself i was still asleep. Some citys sleep at night, some never rest, and some occasionaly doze off for a few hours. After seeing Hanoi in the light of day with unbelieveable traffic and no lie is about 100 million motorbikes its hard to bellive that as you drove through that its the same place, Unlike Tokyo a place where the streets are allive for 24 hours Hanoi needs a good few hours for a rest, and its compleatly different to Kuching in borneo where its just dozes off for a little nap!Any how at a quater to 5 we arrived at the city gates and i sleeply walked with my suitcase rolling  behind me until i came to a gate and my little face fell, the doors were locked and all the lights were off and i was afraid that i was going to sleep on the sreet that night, but luckly two of the boys sleep on mats in the lobby at night so we made enough nose for them to come let us in and give us the room key and in less than10 minutes i was lieing on the bed asleep with niamh and cian squashed against me on the big double bed we shared that night because a four person room wasnt ready for us yet!So were back in hanoi and in 2 days my mummy will be here to enjoy her holiday with all of us!
Lots of love,

Dear my wonderful friends and family.............

Hello everyone. After  3 or 4 days in he hectic Hanoi we escaped to the beautiful hill side retreat of Sa pa, Sa pa is what some would call rural Vietnam as it is home to more than 100 villages and 70 or so different tribes. Sa pa is were the tourists stay and all around it are the different tribal villages!all the different tribes have there own dialect of Vietnamese! They also have the special costumes that are beautiful! We have already bought more things than we should'v and are expected to by more!Today on are way to explore a village when we met a nine year old girl with her friend who was fifty and a younger girl about 20 they were all very friendly and spoke good English and they were like are own personal tour guides, they wore the costumes and looked amazing (I'm not even joking i was really jealous and am so buying a bag in the material that they wear)(also they make all the things they wear!)  and at the end we bought some of the stuff they were selling from the basket on there back!It definitively was an experience!
Lots of love,
                   MaeveXOXOXOXO

well Beijing was grate but its time to put the past behind and look forward to the next six weeks of my life!the trip is coming and going so fast and so slow at the same time, i guess its another case of same same but different! There are so many things i have to say about Hanoi its almost difficult!Actually im finding it so difficult im almost ready to delete this post and never turn back but wheres the fun in that? Im really tiered and Niamh and Cian are starting to get on my nerves, but im as cool as a cucumber although i have my moments and some times i just want to go home and relax because although im really enjoying all this travling its very sressful and tiring!Especcialy in Hanoi as there are no rules and its way, way, way worse than Shanghi!!!every second you have to be aware of your self or you'l get run over by a motor bike!!!
Am super tiered,
Love you lots,

Well its 5:03pm here in Shanghi and After a day of full on shopping in an underground market im "Rooted" as daddy says!!!So once again to fairwell a place me,Nanny and Niamh went shopping.... once again!!!And you wont believe this, I only have $9 australian dollars left in my budget!!! I know!!! Did you nkow i'v spent $214 dollars and i'v only been away for less than 2 months!!!I probably shouldnt have wrote that in case my parents read this and am contemplating deleteing the previous sentence, sorry mum!!!!So today i bought some sample mark jacob ballet flats and because there sample it means their real!!So thats cool and i really like them!!!I also bought a "Winnie The Pooh" tote which i adore and is now my rmain suitcase because Niamh wanted my roley bag!!!Its really cute and it's cool because its a "Winnie The Pooh" tote, so i wont get that in Australia, or mabey i will, anyway i really like it!!!We litrally Shopped till we dropped and im pretty tierd!!!
Tonight at 9 were pulling out of Shanghi station wich will dock into beijing station in the early morning!!!Although I like Shanghi i'm not as atached to it as other places we'v been!!!I guess we came at an awkward time as right now Shanghi is like a great big construction sight, and we havn't really been here long enough to get the full expirience but despite of all that i do like it, there are some things im going to have to say im not going to miss about this place like the traffic, as i explained in my last blog entry and some of the habits the Chinese have, although im guessing there will be more of where that came from in Beijing!!!So yeah!!
Bye Shanghi,
and thanks for keeping it intresting,
Lots of love to my readers

Sayonara= Good bye
Nihou= hello (I dont think you spell it like that though!!!)

So if you havent already guessed yesterday morning we flew from Osaka to Shang Hi. I was really sad leaving Japan but dont doubt that was my last visit there!!!The land of well dressed people, technology and kindness touched my heart and i think it truley is one of my faverouite places in the world, it is a fabulouse melting pot of the old and the new and i will make sure im there again!!!
Five things I love about japan!!!(if you let me list them all we would be here all day!)

1.The kind, polite, fashionable people of Japan!!!
2.The Onsen, we are seriously thinking about putting one in our house!!!
3.The shopping, Harajuku has changed the way i look at clothes!!!
4.Futons,green tea and yukatas, all of wich i want in my room(i already bought a yukata!)
5.FOOD, my faverouite food in the world is from Japan so when i was there natrually i was in heaven!!!

But Japan is a thing of the past and now all new adventures lie in China, specifically Shang Hi and Beiging!!!!

Today was my first full day in china and it was very good but there are a few things i'v noticed in the last 38 hours i'v been here!!!

1. The trafic here is unbeleivable! they never stop at a red light and you think your going to be ran over!!!Even at a crossing where the green man is clearly visable!!!!
2.The Chinese have a terrible habbit of collecting spit in there mouth and then spitting on the footpath in quite a violant way.
3.The food here is AMAIZING and theres alot of it!
4.Were staying in the french connsecion wich has some beutiful old buildings  but is nothing like France and is just as caotic as the rest of shang Hi!
5.No one speaks english so yesterday whene we were ordering lunch dad had to walk around the reastraunt pointing at other peoples meals and then holding up his fingers to show how many of each type he wanted!
6.They are giving Shang Hi a 53 bilion dollar renavation for next years world expo that they are hosting (BTW thats way more than they spent on the olyimpics!)
7.ALSO people had told me that China was going to be freezing but guess what, they were wrong or mabey its just having a heat wave but what ever it is i wish i hadnt worn FIVE (and im not joking) layers today because all day i was sweating up and now i really smell, wich by the way Niamh dosn't fail to reminnd me but dont worry once i got home i had a long shower (or did i?) no i did and now i dont smell (or do i?) I hope not!!!!

But i like china, There just trying to keep things intresting with there roads and even though they may as well not be there as every body ignores them any way there are police people at every crossing even though there part of the problem, (yesterday i saw a police car driving on the foot path, YES the FOOTPATH!!!Oh yeah Niamh spent ages trying to think of the colous scheme for China and she chose nutral colurs, greys, browns, whites and accents of red and gold!!!Nice one Niamh, seriouslyi like that idea, do you?
Well by now your probably board so im going now,
Lots of love
